Duties And Responsibilities:
- Answers 9-1-1 telephone calls
- Determines from the caller the type of emergency response based on agency policies and procedures
- Relays information to the appropriate emergency or non-emergency service agency or agencies
Education: Education Requirements for an Ambulance Dispatcher. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), most ambulance dispatchers have at least a high school diploma
Demand or Need: With an expected 19,970 new jobs filled by 2018
Reflection: I would want to become an Ambulance Dispatcher because I like to be nosy and would want to know whats going on.
